BPP Education Group, now known as Lyceum Education Group, announces the acquisition of Estio Training to support its growth in the delivery of Digital and Technology programmes.

Estio Training were established in 2014 and have become a leading provider of IT and Digital apprenticeships. Estio provides flexible, tailored training that puts apprentices and employers at the centre. Their high-quality apprenticeship programmes are built around the real-world use of modern technology so that the skills created can be directly applied to the digital needs of today’s businesses.

BPP believes that this partnership will provide valuable growth opportunities for both entities and will create both revenue and operational synergies to support the delivery of management’s growth strategy.

BPP’s support and commitment will allow Estio to further invest in improving quality, customer experience and satisfaction, bring in cutting edge data science and digital capabilities and continue on its growth trajectory, expanding its offering to serve the growing demands of learners and companies for specialist skills and training.

Following this transaction, Estio will continue to run as a standalone company under the existing management team and remain headquartered in Leeds. BPP will work with Estio to share best practice and extend the opportunities available to Estio as a member of the BPP Education Group.

The acquisition of Estio will help to facilitate BPP’s focus on delivering a broader portfolio of programmes to provide more learners and clients with access to a leading portfolio of professional courses, apprenticeships and vocational university degrees. This links to BPP’s future growth strategy, with backing from their sponsor TDR Capital, looks to expand its portfolio and geographical reach with the strategic acquisition of relevant education businesses.

Graham Gaddes, BPP CEO, commented, “The acquisition of Estio Training is an exciting addition and a great strategic fit to the BPP Education Group, as we look to expand our offering in IT and digital technology programmes. By collaborating with Estio, a market leader in IT and Digital apprenticeship programmes, we look to offer our learners and clients a broader range of innovative technology programmes to help them bridge the digital skills gap that many organisations now report”.
